Step to Better Your eBay Response

So now you have a potential eBay buyer checking out your auction. They're obviously interested in the item you are selling, or they wouldn't be checking out your auction. Let's say they're on the fence about whether to buy or not. So how can you nudge them and get them to bid or buy? Well, check out the tips below. Increase your picture quality: It's been said over and over - a picture is worth a thousand words. If your picture is not good quality then it probably won't matter what you wrote in your description Maybe you missed something important that a good quality picture would convey.

If you have bad lighting or a background that drowns out your item then it will be worth little to nothing to those checking out your auction. Make sure people can see what you're selling and consider using multiple pictures to show different angles and aspects of your item. Use eBay's About Me page: Creating your About Me page will definitely build credibility with the eBayers who are interested in what you're selling. You don't have to go overboard and create 10 pages. You just need a little information about you and your business. Consider uusing SquareTrade: Signing up with SquareTrade and displaying their logo on all your auctions really shows your visitors that you are professional and committed to customer satisfaction.

SquareTrade helps buyers and sellers resolve any disputes that might arise. Include your terms and conditions: Make all your auction terms clearly visible on all your auctions. Give information on shipping times and prices, your refund policy and any other business practices you might have. This helps communicate and builds confidence with buyers. Show off your feedback: This is another way to add credibility and to build confidence with eBayers. Simply copy a good selection of your feedback comments and paste it in the description of all your auctions.

Don't make your visitors have to search for your feedback. If you have 100% positive feedback, then show that off too on all your auctions. Add NR to your titles: This is a technique I have heard a lot about. If you have enough space in your auction title, add "NR" on the end, which stands for "no reserve". Lots of eBayers prefer auctions that don't have a reserve price, and doing this lets them see right away that yours aren't using this option. Focus on benefits: Make sure your description focuses on your item's benefits and not just the features.

This is sales 101 and doing this is very powerful. If you have trouble knowing one from the other, remember: "cheap" is a feature, "save money" is a benefit. List more items: List more items if you want more eBayers to respond to your auctions! You might have a better response listing items at the same time, instead of one-by-one. Also, there's no need to use a Dutch auction.

Simply keep two or three auctions going at the same time for an item you have more than one of. Accept unusual payment methods: Although not many sellers do this, consider accepting unusual payment methods, like personal checks. This can help you reach those last few potential buyers. Use eBay's upgrades: eBay offers many upgrades that can help your auction stand out from other similar auctions. Using Bold, Border will do the trick. Using Featured Plus! is an option that will make your item appear in the Featured Items section on the search page, which is at the top and bottom, but will cost you a pretty penny.
